THERAPIES IN THE HISTORY OF HUMANKIND AND HUMAN.  

Summary:

About creativity and science, therapists and kindness. The article takes you through the (brief) creative history of humankind, development of art and abstract thought, and finally, the integration of two: the science of art. Creative therapies are one of the results of this marriage, and they are concisely presented. The development of a human race is mirrored with the development of a child and the essentials of the therapeutic relationship are being discussed in comparison to a healthy mother-child relationship.

MIA JANKOVIĆ SHENTSER, Crossing the borders with culture and tradition.

CREATING CROATIAN ART THERAPY APPROACH.

Summary:

Since the creation of Creative therapies studies at the J. J. Strossmayer University of Osijek, Art therapy in Croatia gained an approach to art therapy created by the first generation of students so as to build a bridge from the new therapeutic branch to the potential clients in Croatia, an approach that leans on multicultural theory that recognizes that all helping methods ultimately exist within a cultural context. In this article there will be examples of themes from Croatian culture and the experiential that they were turned into, the processes and results of workshops created in Osijek, Zagreb, Zadar, Skopje, and Jerusalem where these experiential were brought to the life. The list of the themes coincides with the UNESCO's list of Croatian heritage and was applied within the art therapeutic sessions for roughly a year with psychiatric patients, elderly persons, trauma struck persons, children with special needs.

PROBLEM SOLVING AND SELF-AWARENESS TASK.

Her journey through the maze is a matter of symbolical presentation of temptation that challenges one while trying to find the path..

Summary:

Maze Art Therapy Activity is an art therapy task initially created by the author of the text for working with school children due to its playful attributes that ease the therapeutic approach. In this text, several two-dimensional mazes don by school children will be created as a part of art therapeutic process.

OPEN STUDIO ART THERAPY.

Summary:
The open studio is a form of open group art therapy. It's a place where anybody can come to express through art, spend time in the sportive environment, experiment with art materials, discover answers to issues in one’s life, to relieve of stress, finding relaxation and insight, manage their personal growth. The article will present the open studio approach of working in art therapy and present the model through the example of artists' open studio sessions at Cite Internationale Universitaire de Paris.
